I'm crazy for buttons and a swap partner from Ravelry sent me these fantastic specimens.



Apparently they come from a shop called Buttonmania in Melbourne, have to visit next time I'm down that way.

It's somewhere in Swanston St I believe. I think it's the same store someone told me about a few months back where they have occasional sales where you buy on weight, so you just fill up a bag at a set price. Heaven!

Remember when we were kids and we used to play "poker" and we had that tin full of buttons we'd use for betting with? there were blue bittons with ducks on them, red flower shaped buttons, silver buttons, buttons that were bells.... some of them looked very similar to those in your image. I still have them somewhere... if you want them?

Flashbacks! I particularly remember the red flowers. If you're willing to part with them I would LURVE them muchly.
